Bear thanks everyone for all the birthday wishes or she would if she had any idea about having had a birthday, but, you know, she’s a dog. Yesterday I was called for my appointment for my second shot and that was kind of fun. First I was going to a local clinic next Saturday. Then I was told I was going to the fair grounds in Alamosa. Later on I learned I was going to the Rec center in Alamosa. I don’t care where it is. I am just glad they called. I have gotten a few glimpses of what it will be like in that great unknown “after,” but still I’m not sure about that. It doesn’t matter at all because you know what? I’ll find out.
Meanwhile I’m making a little progress on the ink drawings.
I also splurged on an investment for my “business.” I’ve been standing over the drawing table which is mostly OK but after a while it really gets my shoulders so I bought a stool.

Loving your drawings, Martha. And “yay” about the shot and the new stool. Taking care of ourselves is imperative since no one else is going to do it:)
That’s been a very strange part of this whole year. I never imagined I would be so fierce where taking care of myself was concerned. I guess I never imagined a situation where I’d have to make choices like these have been. ๐
That’s for certain!
I love these drawings!
You have some wonderful drawings there. Well done.
Thank you. It’s been a cool challenge for me. I’m a lot more comfortable with a brush than a pen so this has stretched my skills
I can just about manage something half-decent with a pencil. My painting and colouring skills match a 2yo’s efforts sadly.
It’s all about letting go, practice and enjoying the process. ๐
Yes you do have to be relaxed to paint well. Thats for sure.
I’m so gladyou got your second shot — but give yourself a couple of days for the side effects. They are indication that the shots are working, so a good thing, but you may feel pretty icky for a couple of days!
Thank you. I felt a little rocky after the first shot for a few days, just tired. Whatever comes I’ll just rock with it.
A stool will save your back too. Great purchase (and you are doing your part to stimulate the economy!). Glad you have the second shot scheduled. The finish line approaches. ๐ (amazing detail on those drawings!)
The stool is great. I drew all day without pain in my shoulders and a crick in my neck. I love it! It was only $30 and is welded together no frills, just like in a college art class meant for hard use. No need to put it together or anything. ๐
No assembly required! The best kind ๐
I’m loving the drawings! A good stool (or an adjustable table) can make all the difference. My second shot is in 11 days so I’m being very cautious, more so than I’ve been, trying to stay healthy! So glad you are scheduled!
I am glad you’re scheduled, too. ๐
Your drawings are going so well, Martha. I really love them. It must feel good to be able to create something beautiful. I guess there is less clean up too compared to paint?
Less cleanup and cheaper supplies ๐
With a new skill that will be transferable. Bonus.
Youโre so gifted. And the stool looks great too. Iโm so glad youโve had both shots and Bear enjoyed her day (even though she really doesnโt know how many of us truly love her ;). Iโd put these couple of days in the winnerโs column! ๐โค๏ธ๐๐ถ
Its been a months since your first shot already!
Feels like it! It will be a month this coming Saturday. ๐
