Seven Years??

WordPress let me know that I began keeping this blog 7 years ago today or what is today in GMT. I thought I’d look back and see what my first post was. I was a little surprised that it was this.

Thanks to all of you who take the time to read my stuff. I am very grateful for the friendships this blog has brought me — especially now when we are more a neighborhood than ever.

  1. You and I started at the same time! I received my 7 year notification from WP last week. Gosh, Martha–you got serious right away with your first post. I had not a clue what in the heck I was doing–I didn’t even know how to add a photo. Congratulations to you on your 7th!!

  2. United States of thought commonality, who doesn’t want to make friends? A sociopath and thank God we Are not Jajaja! 7 years Felicidades πŸŽΆπŸŽ‰πŸŽŠπŸ’ͺπŸ™β™’οΈπŸ•πŸ˜·

  3. That was a tough first post, but I have found in reading you, you don’t shy away from the tough. Glad you stuck around for seven years, or we may never have connected!

  4. Congratulations – 7 years. Lucky 7 perhaps. I read your first post and was struck with its emotion. My sister’s first husband died from alcoholism at age 38. So sad and, yes, he wasted his life and left 2 little kids behind. I’m glad you are still blogging away. πŸ™‚

    • Thank you! I never imagined when I started I’d end up liking it so much. πŸ™‚ It’s the people I’ve met.

I wonder now why that was my first post, but there it is. I know it was on my mind. I was working with some others helping families of addicts come to grips with the reality of their lives and situations and find a way to move forward. It was very difficult for most of them as it was for me.
