Lamont and Dude Discuss Priorities

“I need to rearrange my life.”

“OK. What does that mean, exactly?”

“You know, get my priorities straight.”

“Dude. What are you talking about?”

“Put the important stuff first.”

“You mean what’s best in life?”

“Oh, we all know the answer to that.”

  1. I am working on it: What is important? I am making a list for the last quadrant of my life (assuming 100–how vain). Let’s just say for the next 10 years: 75-85. So far I have decided: Works of Milton, Shakespeare, Whitman. That’s a beginning, Dude! (Haven’t read all of that stuff either.) I am now on my mythic journey with Sam Keen, so I have to include him, and one other philosopher: Teilhard de Chardin. That’s it. And that is my beginning. Stay tuned for the next chapter: religion. Yes, I’ll get to the family, my guns, my hobbies, and the cats, and the car–too much. And too many books. What’s important?
